Description:
Three stunning days and two spectacular desert nights on the Colorado River in Utah. Day 1: Put in at Cisco for a Class I run down 5 pleasant miles to a BLM campsite. Day 2 is long (possibly 22 miles), and may have headwinds, so be prepared for an early start and hard paddling so that we can arrive early and get a good camp site with stunning views in Professor Valley. Rapids ramp up with many delightful Class I and II rapids. Camp across the river from Fisher Towers and enjoy the desert at its best. Day 3: the trip to Big Bend includes more fun water and gorgeous scenery. Many swimming stops to cool down and enjoy. The last several miles of the trip border Arches National Park. Total trip 35 miles. Helmets and experience on Class II rapids are required, as are personal (or small group) BLM-approved toilets. This is an ACA-sanctioned outing/event which requires EITHER ACA membership OR a $5/person insurance fee
