Rocky Mountain Canoe Club is an organization for paddlers in the Colorado area, covering all aspects of paddle sports, from flat water to white water, with an emphasis on the open canoe.

This survey of boating stores and other rental businesses is provided as a public service by Rocky Mountain Canoe Club. The main list includes only stores that have canoes suitable for some degree of river running. No endorsement is implied.

WARNING: Whitewater and flat water canoeing are dangerous sports that include many risks, including several non-obvious risks. You can get very dead very quickly, if you don't know what you're doing and respect the waters. Do you know how to swim? Do you know what "entrapment" and "hypothermia" mean?

Be sure that the type of canoe you rent is suitable for the difficulty of the river you are running. Beware of low-sided lake canoes and aluminum boats.

Please seek proper training and guidance before undertaking any boating on your own.

• DISCLAIMER: Verify all prices with stores. They may change their rates at any time.
  
• Pricing is for rental of tandem canoes. Other boats have different rates.
  
• Same-day rates assume pick-up and drop-off on the same day. Some stores allow more time.
  
• Two-day rates allow for pick-up the afternoon before the trip, and drop-off the morning after.
  
• Most stores also require a deposit or credit card number to cover lost or damaged equipment.
  
• Some stores include free shuttle service, other accessories, etc. Ask about extras.
